For clients

How much does GuardGo cost?

Posting a vacancy is free. When you book a guard, you pay GuardGo a £20 booking fee for that guard. There is no subscription.

How do I pay the guard?

You pay the guard directly, at the hourly rate and in the way you set out in the vacancy. GuardGo does not handle wages.

How are guards checked?

We check each guard's SIA licence on the public register, check their right to work and ask for a clear photo. We check qualifications such as first aid when a vacancy needs them.

Can I book a guard for more than one date?

Yes. A vacancy can be a single shift or a run of dates, and the guard you book takes all of them.

Who can post vacancies?

Businesses we have approved. We check your company details with Companies House and your insurance before your vacancies go live.

Do I still have to check a guard's right to work?

Yes. As the business engaging the guard, the law expects you to make your own right to work check before their first shift. Our client terms explain how.

For guards

Is GuardGo free for guards?

Yes. GuardGo never charges guards. Clients pay a booking fee instead.

What do I need to sign up?

A front-line SIA licence that is in date, proof of your right to work in the UK (a share code or a British or Irish passport) and a clear photo of yourself.

How will I hear about work?

You choose up to five areas and how far you will travel. When a suitable vacancy is posted, we email you.

How do I get booked?

Say you are interested in a vacancy. If the client picks you, you are booked, and you get the venue address and contact details straight away.

Who pays me?

The client pays you directly, at the rate shown in the vacancy.
